Northeast Whitewater is looking for both experienced guides and individuals interested in becoming Registered Maine Raft Guide's to join our outdoor adventure staff.  Whether you are looking for seasonal employment or the best outdoor adventure job, Northeast Whitewater can help you with your outdoor pursuits.  We are a commercial whitewater rafting company that operates on the Kennebec and Penobscot rivers. The Kennebec River (Level I License) is a high volume river with whitewater river classification up to class IV in technicality.  Whereas, the West Branch of the Penobscot River (Level II License) is one of the most technical rivers in the Northeast and has a river classification of class V.

Northeast Whitewater is looking for energetic, athletic, positive, hardworking individuals with an eternal passion for the outdoors and willingness to share it with our guests (check out our guide profiles).  No whitewater experience is necessary, but it can be helpful.  Since we provide the best training in the State of Maine and have the best instructors, we can teach anyone whitewater skills to be successful in our training courses.  Whitewater Guide Training includes River Hydrology, Safety Techniques, River Etiquette, Day-to-Day Procedures, River Rescue and Daily Whitewater Rafting (lots of it)!

We are located on the southern tip of Moosehead Lake at the gateway to the North Maine Woods and can offer you a summer job in a great place!  Our pristine location makes it an ideal place for staff to enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming, lake paddles and whitewater boating on days off.  We are also the only company that can raft both rivers from 1 location!
