Whitewater is looking for both experienced guides and individuals interested in
becoming Registered Maine Raft Guide's to join our outdoor adventure
staff. Whether you are looking for seasonal employment or the best outdoor adventure job, Northeast Whitewater can help you with your outdoor pursuits. We are a commercial whitewater rafting company that operates on
the Kennebec and Penobscot rivers. The Kennebec River (Level I License) is a
high volume river with whitewater river classification up to class IV in
technicality. Whereas, the West Branch of the Penobscot River (Level II
License) is one of the most technical rivers in the Northeast and has a river
classification of class V.
Northeast
Whitewater is looking for energetic, athletic, positive, hardworking
individuals with an eternal passion for the outdoors and willingness to share
it with our guests (check out our guide profiles). No whitewater experience is necessary, but it can be
helpful. Since we provide the best training in the State of Maine and
have the best instructors, we can teach anyone whitewater skills to be
successful in our training courses. Whitewater Guide Training includes
River Hydrology, Safety Techniques, River Etiquette, Day-to-Day Procedures,
River Rescue and Daily Whitewater Rafting (lots of it)!
We
are located on the southern tip of Moosehead Lake at the gateway to the North
Maine Woods and can offer you a summer job in a great place! Our pristine location makes it an ideal place for staff to
enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming, lake paddles and whitewater boating on days
off. We are also the only company that can raft both rivers from 1
location!
Requirements:
• 18 Years of old
• Basic CPR/First Aid (Wilderness First Aid or higher preferred)
• Ability to lift over fifty pounds
• Good physical condition
• Ability to complete 9-day guide training course
• Pay the State of Maine fees of $189.00
• Valid driver’s license

Swiftwater Rescue Training into our Whitewater Raft Guide Training Program!!!

What
is a Video Boater?
A video boater is an experienced
kayaker confident in class III+ whitewater, catching eddies, not swimming and
that grills lunch for daily rafting guests. Knowledge of Final Cut Pro is
preferred. What paddler doesn't mind getting paid to paddle?!?!
